Hopkinton Rotary Golf Tournament
The 2012 Hopkinton Rotary and Banks Chevrolet Scholarship Golf
Tournament
The Hopkinton Rotary Golf Tournament will be held Friday June 22, 2012
at Stonebridge Country Club. The proceeds support the Rotary
Scholarship Fund. The Tournament will begin at 8:30am with a shotgun
start. The format has been changed to a Bramble. (A Bramble tournament
starts off just like a scramble: the members of each team (usually
four person teams) tee off, and the best drive is selected. The other
three team members move their golf balls to the spot of the best
drive, and all four team members play their second strokes from that
location. After the best drive is selected, all players play from that
spot, but then continue playing their own ball, stroke-play style,
until each has holed out, producing four individual scores. The lowest
score is the score recorded.)
A golfer registration form is available at the link below. Our goal is
100 golfers - we need your help. Please spread the word.

If you are interested in supporting the scholarship fund but are not a
golfer, please consider sponsoring a green, a tee box, a hole in one
contest, or some other aspect of the tournament. If you are interested
in sponsorship, please email Mike Byrne at mikebyrnenh at comcast.net.
If you have any questions, please contact Steve Chamberlin (schamberlin at hopkintonschools.org

Book Sale for the Friends of the Hopkinton Town Library
2012 Book Sale for the Friends of the Hopkinton Town Library:
The sale will be held on
Saturday, 30 June 2012, 9 am - 4 pm for the regular sale
Sunday, 1 July 2012, 1 - 3 pm for the bag sale
For anyone with books to donate, you can start bringing them to the
library on
Friday, 1 June 2012
Please, oh PLEASE, don't bring your donations before that. Storage
space is tight at the library and donations dropped off before that
time really do adversely impact library function. Also, please
refrain from donating magazines, outdated textbooks, encyclopedias, or
any moldy or mildew-y books. They don't sell and we end up having to
move them along ourselves.
More information will come as we get closer to June, so stay tuned.
Feel free to spread the word with these dates.
Hope to see you all at another fantastic book sale!
Thanks.
