Hello Everyone:
This email is just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Friday, October 7,
2011) will be a Professional Development Day. Thank you so much to the
volunteers who will be providing desserts/snacks for the faculty.
Please know this kindness is appreciated. (It is not too late to
provide snacks, please feel encouraged to drop off items at Harold
Martin School or Maple Street School. Hopkinton Middle and High
Schools will be closed for the day as the power will be off in that
building as a generator is being installed.)
This Professional Development Day will be devoted to continued work on
determining what we want our students to know and be able to do. (If
interested, additional information is available at the Hopkinton
School District Curriculum Council Wiki at http://hsdcurriculumcouncil.wikispaces.com/)
Staff will be reviewing the Common Core Standards in light of the
current District curriculum. The teachers will also be working on
revising and developing competencies/standards.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
I hope you have a wonderful Columbus Day weekend.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Chamberlin
Superintendent of Schools
