>
> Sign-ups for the Bill Koch League Nordic ski program take place on Tuesday, Nov. 29th from 5:00-7:30pm in the Maple Street School library. Hopkinton High School Nordic Ski Team instructors will be there to talk about the program and equipment. Volunteers will guide you through paperwork. Sign up fee is $40 (checks please). Place an order for youth Swix jackets ($45) and pants ($35) at discounted rate through New England Nordic Ski Association (with NENSA and sponsor logos). If you have youth Nordic equipment to sell, please bring it at 5pm.
> The 7-week program (Friday afternoons, 3:30-4:30pm, Jan. 6-Feb. 17) uses games, drills, and free skiing to teach the finer points of both classic and skate skiing. The Hopkinton HS Nordic Ski Team provides instruction at Gould Hill Farm on groomed trails. Equipment is not provided by the program. It can be leased through NENSA for $50 for the season (http://www.nensa.net/skis) or purchased for a 20% discount at S&W Sports in Concord. The BKL program has a limited supply of skate skis that will be loaned out on Fridays when conditions are right for skate skiing. Questions? Please contact Laura Marron at 746-3029 or lauram at tds.net
