Hello Everyone:

It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is almost upon us. It seems like
yesterday school had just begun.

A few announcements:
Secretary of State Gardner recently set the date of the NH
Presidential Primary for Tuesday, January 10, 2012. The date of the
primary impacts the school district, as the middle high school is the
voting location for the community. Large voter turnout elections are a
concern for the middle and high schools for a variety of reasons:
ranging from instructional space, to student safety, to parking. On
Monday, the Hopkinton School Board supported the recommendation to
adjust the calendar in lieu of the Presidential Primary:
The Professional Development Day scheduled for Tuesday January 3,
2012 will be moved to Tuesday, January 10, 2012.
(January 3, 2012 will be a regular school day for all students.
Students will not have school on January 10, 2012.)
The Hopkinton High School production of The Brothers Grimm
Spectaculathon will take place this Friday and Saturday night
(November 18 and 19) at 7:00pm, at the high school auditorium. On
Saturday night, the Hopkinton Rotary Club will be putting on a “Dinner
Before the Show.” The proceeds will support the Rotary’s efforts to
eradicate Polio. The spaghetti dinner will begin at 5:30pm. Please
come and enjoy “Dinner Before the Show!”
