2006 HYSA Annual Meeting

The Hopkinton Youth Sports Association's 2006 Annual Meeting is 
scheduled for Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 7:00 PM in the High School 
Cafeteria.  The purpose of the annual meeting is to elect new Board 
members for the upcoming year and report on the general health of the 
organization.  The meeting is open to the public and parents are 
encouraged to attend if they're interested in getting involved with 
HYSA.

HYSA is non-profit independent organization run exclusively by parent 
volunteers.  Our sole purpose is to provide an opportunity for our 
community's youth to play team sports in an instructional, 
competitive, and fun environment.  HYSA currently offers tee ball, 
softball, and baseball in the spring, soccer in the fall, and 
basketball in the winter for kids in kindergarten through eighth 
grade.

There are currently three open seats on the Board and we are looking 
for new volunteers to join us for the upcoming year and fill these 
vacancies. 

There are a number of different ways parents can contribute to HYSA. 
The Board of Directors is responsible for making all decisions 
affecting operations and funding as well as ensuring each program has 
the necessary resources to succeed.  The Board meets monthly and 
consists of 20 seats including the officers of President, 
Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary as well as Commissioners for 
each sport, Operating Committees for each sport, and specific 
managers for handling Equipment, Concessions, Registrations, and 
Sponsorships.  If you are interested in finding out more information 
about HYSA, please feel free to attend the annual meeting.  If you'd

HYSA
Baseball/Softball/Teeball Annual
Opening Day Celebration
Saturday, April 15th
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Please join HYSA and the Hopkinton youth baseball, softball, and 
teeball coaches, players, and parents as we celebrate the opening of 
the 2006 season.  The festivities begin at 11:00 AM with a parade of 
the teams. The parade will begin at the Houston Fields complex and 
will travel down Pine Street, take a left onto Kearsarge Ave and will 
end at the baseball fields behind the High School.  

Following the parade there will be a cookout and games (pitching 
machine, base running contest, pitching contest, etc.).  There is no 
cost for the event.  All players from T-Ball to Babe Ruth will be in 
the parade and we invite everyone to come out and help cheer on our 
teams as we kick off the 2006 season!

In case of rain, this event will be held Sunday April 16th from 1 - 4.
