HMS PARENT FLASH 12-31-11
On this last night of 2011, I wish everyone a wonderful New Year packed with fun, smiles, memories, and plenty of family time. To give some perspective, my three "no longer little" kids will be in three different states tonight as the clock strikes Midnight. I have quoted my father many times...when life seems difficult and the children take a bit more of your energy than you thought possible, remember that these are truly the "good ol' days". Love them while they're young and you'll reap lots of benefits when they're older. On behalf of the entire Harold Martin School school community and the Carozza family, I wish you the very best 2012.
THE PLAYGROUND PROJECT
I uploaded over 300 photos from the Playground Project online. It helps to recall the amazing effort all of us gave to produce the best school playground in the state. Check it out using the slideshow-that's the most powerful way I think. One of the many things I'm thankful for as we end this year is the incredible volunteer effort this community gave in November of 2010, a little more than a year ago. This is in addition to the incredible $100,000 donation from a family in town and many other smaller ones from other generous families. Here's the link:

THE CALENDAR
I was checking out an article in the Union Leader tonight and it erroneously stated that school begins Wednesday in Hopkitnon. No, actually, we begin again at 8 AM on Tuesday January 3, 2012.
* There is no school on NH Primary Election Day, January 10 as Hopkinton faculty will be engaged in professional development that day.
* The next PTA meeting is Wednesday, January 4, 6:30 PM at HMS. For more information, check out the new PTA Newsletter at: http://www.hopkintonschools.org/haroldmartinschool/hms-info/pta/
* The first hearing of the School Budget at the Budget Committee will be January 4 and 6:30 PM at the Town Hall.
* No school on January 16 for MLK Day.
See you Tuesday.
