A FULL Day of Fun!!!
Saturday August 15th!!!
Our first event will be at the Gazebo in Contoocook.  We welcome T- 
Bone, a great musical entertainer that will keep the whole audience  
involved.  This is a family event and children of ages will be part of  
the show!  So bring your blankets, chairs, snacks, your family and  
friends and join in the fun.  This show will start at 2pm and end at  
3pm.  T-Bone is “full contact” entertainer and will show our community  
an event we won’t soon forget!!!  (Rain location is in the Slusser  
Senior Center)

Then day continues at Houston Fields for Movie in the Park…..

Movie in the Park
Saturday August 15th!!!
Our second Movie in the Park this summer will be Journey to the Center  
of the Earth.  This is a special movie that will be shown in 3-D  
(glasses provided) at Houston Fields at sundown, around 8pm.  So bring  
your blankets, lawn chairs and gather your friends and family.  The  
movie is free to all residents!  Concessions will be available for  
sale.  (Rain location is in the Slusser Senior Center)

Community Scrapbook Session
  August Session Announced!!   Whether you’re young or old,  
scrapbooking keeps your memories alive. Join Hopkinton Recreation for  
this great community event where you can share ideas and learn from  
others. These community events are for either experts or beginners. A  
full day of scrapbooking will take place Sunday August 16th from 1:30  
– 5pm at the Slusser Senior Center. Bring your pictures and scrapbook  
if you have one. Other materials and tools will be provided. Call  
746-2915 for more information

Self Defense for Everyone
Do you want to keep yourself safe?  Do you know what to do in  
dangerous situations?  The Hopkinton Recreation Department is teaming  
up with the Hopkinton Police Department to bring you a general self  
defense class.  The class will teach you how to protect yourself and  
recognize dangerous situations. It will be taught by trained police  
officers.  The class is for anyone 17 years old or older and will be  
held at the Slusser Senior Center on Wednesday August 19th from 6 –  
8pm.  The class is free to all but you must register by calling  
746-2915.  Class size is limited, so call now to register.
Adult Coed Pick-up Soccer
Come on down to Houston Fields (Memorial Field, behind the library)  
for a fun adult soccer league.  You must be 18 years or older, but all  
levels welcome and the pick-up game starts at 5:30pm.   Come on out  
and have some fun and get some exercise!

The Circus is coming to Town!
The Hopkinton Recreation Department has secured a limited amount of  
discount tickets to the Sunday October 4th 12 noon performance of  
Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.  The show is at  
Manchester’s Verizon Wireless Arena.  Tickets are in the lower level  
and are $18 each.  Call 746-2915 for more information and to reserve  
your seats.   Open to Hopkinton/Contoocook residents only

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!!
The Hopkinton Recreation Department wants you to join us for another  
amazing outing to Fenway Park to watch your beloved Boston Red Sox.   
The package includes roundtrip transportation from Contoocook to  
Fenway on a luxury coach, driver gratuity, and a ticket to the  
ballgame (right field box 90).  The cost is $75 per person.  The game  
is October 1st and we will leave Contoocook at 4pm. The package deal  
is on sale now and can only be purchased in person at the Slusser  
Senior Center. Call 746-2915 with any questions.  Open to Hopkinton/ 
Contoocook residents only.
