*****
Contoocook Needlework Gallery and Tricia Wilson Nguyen from Redefined,

Inc. will lead a group of stitchers and their daughter, son,

grandchild or special buddy in the pleasures of thread and needle on

April 8 from 10:00 until 12:00!

Using Tokens and Trifles sewing cards (tokensandtrifles.com), each

pair will choose to stitch a joint project at their skill level. A

selection of projects to choose from will be available. The sewing

cards are 20-count perforated paper with a decorative edge which can

be left blank or stitched. For our youngest friends, we will show

them how to decorate a blank card with their own drawing and then

teach them the basics of stitching in the decorative edge. For those

a little more advanced, we will use the perforated cards to teach

cross-stitch using a series of techniques which simplify the learning

process. To excite the experienced stitchers who accompany our newer

friends, we will explore companion designs to the non-stitchers pieces

and discuss creative ways that Tokens and Trifles can be used. About

100 stitched pieces will be brought as examples of stitchbooking,

placecards, greeting cards, needlebooks, bookmarks, etc.

$50 per pair ($15 each additional person) includes light refreshments.

50% deposit and reservations due by April 1. Please call 746-2391

for reservations and/or more information.
