[HMHS News] C - Time Information: Tuesday, January 11, 2011

Hello Everyone:

I hope the New Year is going well. Next Tuesday the District will be  
holding the second C - Time, the District’s attempt at increasing  
collaboration time for faculty and staff without adding a burden to  
the community.

The feedback from families was generally positive. Many families truly  
appreciated the slower morning/extra sleep. The students seemed to  
enjoy the alternate activities as well.

Building administrators have made improvements and adjusted the  
procedures surrounding C - Time.

Attendance
Formal attendance will be taken near 9:00am. Students do not have to  
present until approximately 9:00am (55 minutes later than the typical  
start time).

Arrival Time
It would be appreciated if students arrive at the regular start time  
or close to 9:00am. The staggered arrival time was difficult to manage.

Theme
This month the theme is Expression.
In the elementary schools, students are asked to bring their favorite  
marker, as the activity will be working on the longest mural, creating  
a submission for a national stamp contest, or creating their own  
masterpiece.

The secondary schools will have quiet or groups study time as well as  
an open microphone event in the auditorium.
