Hello Everyone:

I am sorry if my previous email was confusing. Please feel encouraged  
to email me with any questions or concerns.

Parent Teacher Conference Day(s) schedule

In the past, it was very difficult to schedule parent/guardian  
teachers conferences for students in grades 7 and 8 in one day.  As a  
result, an additional Parent Teacher Conference Day for grades 7 and 8  
only was scheduled for Monday, November 1, 2010.

The traditional parent/guardian teacher conference day for all  
students in grades P - 12 , is Tuesday, November 2, 2010.

	Students in grades 7 and 8 DO NOT have school on Monday, November 1  
AND Tuesday, November 2.

	All students in grades P - 12 DO NOT have school on Tuesday, November  
2, 2010

Input on the new Pupil Safety and Violence Prevention Policy  
(Bullying) - a listening post

On Wednesday, October 27, at 6:30pm in the library at Maple Street  
School, the community will have an opportunity to share their thoughts  
on the development of the new Pupil Safety and Violence Prevention  
Policy (bullying). The state statute requiring this new policy is very  
prescriptive. Copies of the law will be available. School board  
members and I will be present to listen to thoughts to support the  
policy’s development. A draft of the policy will be prepared for the  
school board’s first reading on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. A formal  
forum is planned for the second reading of the policy on Tuesday,  
November 16, 2010 (prior to the school board meeting).
