[HMHS News] Listening Post and other important information

Hello Everyone:

I hope the weather is wonderful this weekend. Fall has definitely  
arrived.

A few things:

October 27, 2010 Listening Post
The Hopkinton School District is sponsoring a listening post (a time  
to gather information/listen) to hear thoughts regarding the new Pupil  
Safety and Violence Prevention Policy. Over the next few weeks, input  
will be sought to support the development of the Hopkinton School  
District’s new policy. The listening post will be held Wednesday,  
October 27, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Maple Street School library.

Please feel encouraged to attend or share your thoughts through email  
to Steven Chamberlin, Superintendent of Schools (schamberlin at hopkintonschools.org 
).

Parent/Guardian Teacher Conference Day
Parent/guardian Teacher Conference Day is approaching (November 2).  
Please feel encouraged to contact the schools to make an appointment.  
Due to the large volume of parent/guardian - teacher conferences, the  
middle school has a two day conference window (November 1 and November  
2).

Please note: middle schoolers do not have school on November 1 (all  
other schools are IN session).  All schools are closed on November 2.

Global Connect Test
In preparation for the winter season, the District’s auto call system  
will be tested during the first week of November. An email will notify  
you of the date and time of the test. The call system is used for  
critical events. (Snow days will be handled through typical  
communication methods, the auto call system is used for time sensitive  
announcements.) If you would like to sign up for the auto call system,  
please contact your school.
