Hello Everyone:
I hope this email finds you well. The Hopkinton School Board is
continuing to develop the 2011-2012 Hopkinton School District Budget.
Revenue is one aspect of the budget development process. Due to a
decrease is state adequacy aid and other revenue streams, the school
board is considering changes in student fees.
A Listening Post, an opportunity for the community to express thoughts
about topics of interest, has been scheduled for Thursday, December
16, 2010 at the Maple Street School Library at 6:30pm, to receive
community thoughts on student fees. (The Listening Post original
scheduled date conflicted with the Hopkinton High School Winter
Concert.) Please feel encouraged to attend.
If you are unable to attend but have thoughts and opinions on student
fees, please feel encouraged to email me at schamberlin at hopkintonschools.org
.
As many of you are aware, a family’s home had considerable damage this
weekend due to fire. If interested, a fund has been set up at the
Merrimack County Savings Bank for Tammy and Polito Lui.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Chamberlin
Superintendent of Schools
