HOPKINTON MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL MISSION
We foster a learning environment that is safe, supportive, and
respectful.
We promote personal integrity, intellectual curiosity, and civic
responsibility.
We provide traditional and innovative opportunities for students to
maximize their potential.
We have a busy weekend ahead. Homecoming weekend is always a weekend
that many of us look forward to. It’s a great time remake connections
with returning graduates, family and friends, and to watch some great
athletic competitions. It looks like the weather is going to
cooperate, so if you have nothing to do this weekend think about
coming to the athletic fields to catch a game or two and cheer on the
Hawks. The weekend starts with the Homecoming Parade. The parade
begins at 6PM. The parade will assemble and begin at HMC on Maple
Street and ends at the high school. A bon fire will happen at the
conclusion of the parade.
The Homecoming Dance will start at 7:30 PM on Saturday night. The
cost of the dance is $5.00. Students are encouraged to bring a canned
food item to the dance to help out the local food bank. Price of
admission to the dance is only $4.00 with a canned food item. Please
remind your youngsters that the school dress code is still in effect
during the dance.
Next week our juniors will take the NECAP (New England Common
Assessment Program). Students will be tested in Reading, Writing and
Math. The testing window for the juniors is October 7, 8, & 9. The
tests will be administered in the auditorium. If you have any
questions regarding the NECAP, please call the high school and ask to
speak to Mr. Kelley.
As I come to a close I will leave you with this:
