HOPKINTON MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL MISSION
We foster a learning environment that is safe, supportive, and
respectful.
We promote personal integrity, intellectual curiosity, and civic
responsibility. We provide traditional and innovative opportunities
for students to maximize their potential.
Mid term exams for high school students are right around the corner.
January 24h and 25th are set for Day 1 exams and on January 28th &
29th Day 2 exams will be administered. The second semester for the
high school will start on January 30th.
In an attempt to minimize the financial burden of the district we are
requiring that students satisfy their obligations prior to taking mid
term exams. As stated in the Middle and High School Handbook for
Students and Parents, “All financial obligations must be fulfilled
before a student can take their final or mid term exams. Students
who do not fulfill their financial obligation(s) before mid term
exams, will serve Saturday Educations until their obligation(s) are
met. Students who do not fulfill their financial obligation(s) by
June 1st, 2008 will not be allowed to take their final exams until
the last day of school and will serve Saturday Education until the
end of school.”
Students will be put on a financial obligation list for the following
reasons:
1) Lost or misplaced textbooks
2) Unpaid lunch charges
3) Unreturned library books, magazines or materials
On Friday, January 18, 2008, the Interact Club will be hosting a
dance in the auditorium from 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM. Tickets cost $5.00
and the proceeds go to “Hands to Honduras.”
Auditions for the high school spring musical “Grease” will take place
on Monday evening, January 14, 2008, from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the
auditorium.

Recycle your Christmas tree – Cub Scout Pac 77 will pick it up!
IT'S THAT TIME...
Now that you're ready to take down your Christmas tree, wouldn't you
like to do your part for the environment and for our local Cub Scout
Pack 77? Hire us to pick it up and recycle it! It's easy. First, pull
those lights and ornaments off and drag the tree out front. Then call
Mark at 344-5553 to schedule a pickup. Just a $5 donation and you
don't have to deal with getting it onto your car and to the dump. AND
you help out Pack 77 and the environment (we turn them into wood
chips). What could be simpler? Don't wait until March. Call now.
